Celebrating Weld County Regional Communications Center Dispatchers, during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

This week, we celebrate our fellow first responders, Weld County Regional Communications Center Dispatchers, during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR) has always understood that our dispatchers are unsung heroes who are truly the "first, first responders" on an incident. Last month, Colorado became the 20th state in the U.S. to recognize dispatchers officially as first responders. It's great to see them get this distinction, which is long overdue.

FRFR Awards Firefighter of the Year and Chief's Award for 2023

April 12, 2024, Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR) recognized several members for their accomplishments in 2023.

Our annual Firefighter of the Year Award was given to two members this year. Firefighter Cory Gore-Salazar and Lieutenant Chris Linder. This tribute acknowledges the individuals who embody the core values of FRFR daily, as recognized by our entire membership.

Firefighter Gore-Salazar demonstrates forward-thinking and continuous self-improvement, earning him respect and a leadership role among his colleagues.

Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control joins FRFR at Station 3

Your safety is our top priority, which is why we're excited to announce a new cooperative agreement between Front Range Fire Rescue and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control. As of today, one of their wildfire crews and apparatus will be stationed part-time at FRFR Station 3 in the Hill and Park neighborhood. This means that in the event of an incident, we'll have even more first responders ready to help. Plus, this essential regional resource is now in a great location that will allow for faster response times.

Congratulations Firefighter Ingram

Hats off to Firefighter Ingram for successfully finishing his probationary period at Front Range Fire Rescue! Our probationary program includes extensive task book training and certifications, adding hundreds of hours beyond the fire academy completion. This rigorous process equips our firefighters with a solid foundation of skills, ensuring a lifetime commitment to serving our citizens with courage, compassion, and professionalism.
