June 27, 2025, marked a powerful day of transition at Front Range Fire Rescue.
We proudly promoted Chief Ryan Roberts to his new role as he officially assumed leadership during our traditional Change of Command ceremony. Following the formal handoff, Chief Roberts took the oath of office, and his family had the honor of pinning on his badge. We’re excited about the vision and leadership he brings to his new position.
We also celebrated the distinguished career of Chief Michael West with a heartfelt Last Shift Ceremony, honoring his 43 years of dedicated public service. Under Chief West’s leadership, FRFR navigated the challenges of a global pandemic, expanded services to meet the rapid growth of its population, and enhanced operational readiness. His tenure was marked by the remodeling of three fire stations with a focus on wellness, the expansion of mental health support, reduced response times, and enhanced training standards.
Please join us in congratulating Chief Roberts and thanking Chief West for a career that has truly left a lasting legacy.
