Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms

#FFFFFF

Front Range Fire Rescue has a goal of ensuring that every home in our community has working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. We may be able to provide you with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, or battery replacements at no cost if you cannot purchase these items on your own. To request this service, please call our office at (970) 587-4464 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm). Donations are gratefully accepted to help fund these and other life safety programs.

Do you need help changing your smoke alarm and/or carbon monoxide alarm batteries?
Alarm manufacturers recommend replacing the batteries in every unit at least once per year. It is usually easy to remember if you always replace the batteries when you adjust your clocks for daylight savings time.

If your alarm is “chirping” every minute or two, it’s probably letting you know that it’s time to replace the battery. If you don’t know how to do this, or if you are simply not comfortable climbing the ladder to replace the battery, we are here to help you. Just call our non-emergency dispatch line at 970-350-9600 to request assistance. This phone line and service is accessible 24/7.

Our members will gladly install the alarms for you in your home. Please note that we cannot replace hard-wired alarms. You can also call our office at (970) 587-4464 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm) to ask questions about your smoke or carbon monoxide alarms.
