As the Fire Chief, it's my privilege to welcome you to the online home of Front Range Fire Rescue. Our personnel provide unwavering commitment to protecting the citizens and visitors across Johnstown, Milliken, and our district in Weld and Larimer Counties.
We are an all-hazards emergency response and prevention agency, meaning our dedication extends beyond reacting to incidents; we are deeply invested in fire prevention, public education, and disaster preparedness, aiming to reduce risks before they become emergencies.

About Chief Roberts
In 2020, Ryan accepted the position of Division Chief of Operations at Brighton Fire Rescue, where he also served as Interim Fire Chief. He later spent several years as a Battalion Chief at South Adams County Fire before joining Front Range Fire Rescue.
For many years, Ryan has also worked as a fire service consultant and professional service representative, assisting agencies with policy and procedure development, community risk assessments, standards of cover, consolidation evaluations, EMS feasibility studies, and fire department master planning. Ryan has also served as a peer assessor for fire department accreditation and professional credentials.
Ryan holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Walden University, a bachelor’s degree in Fire Service Administration from Western Oregon University, and an associate degree in Fire Science Technology from Pikes Peak Community College. He is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program through the National Fire Academy and holds both Chief Fire Officer (CFO) and Chief Training Officer (CTO) credentials from the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
Ryan and his family live in Erie. He enjoys spending time with his family and supporting their activities—you can often find them at a soccer field.
