CRR is a grassroots effort to move the fire service beyond just responding to calls. Our goal is to stop emergencies before they start by identifying local risks and addressing them through five components:
Education – Teaching residents how to recognize hazards and take proactive steps to reduce risk.
Engineering – Using safer design, technology, and infrastructure to prevent emergencies
Enforcement – Applying codes, standards, and policies that help prevent fires, injuries, and other emergencies.
Economic Incentive – Encouraging safe behaviors through financial programs, grants, and cost-saving initiatives.
Emergency Response – Ensuring our teams are prepared to respond quickly and effectively when emergencies do occur.
