9-1-1 Dispatchers are responsible for receiving and prioritizing emergency and non-emergency telephone calls, and provide resources to those in need. They are the First, First Responders to most emergencies. Weld County Dispatch Center receives over 325,000 calls a year and dispatches 43 law, fire and EMS agencies.

Recently, a Weld County Dispatcher was instrumental in saving the life of one of our patients. The dispatcher was able to provide lifesaving instructions to a bystander while Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR) was dispatched. Those instructions ultimately saved the patient’s life. FRFR appreciates our dispatchers each and every day and especially during National Public Safety Dispatchers’ Week!
