Our probationary program includes extensive task book training and certifications, adding hundreds of hours beyond the fire academy completion. This rigorous process equips our firefighters with a solid foundation of skills, ensuring a lifetime commitment to serving our citizens with courage, compassion, and professionalism.

Welcome to our new Battalion Chief, Ryan Roberts! Chief Roberts was surrounded by his family and Front Range Fire Rescue members. We couldn’t be happier to have Chief Roberts on our team!

Congratulations, Chief Drage!

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Ty Drage, who graduated last week from the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer (EFO) program. This intensive program is recognized worldwide as a hallmark of fire service leadership development. Ty joined less than 5000 chief officers who have completed the course since 1985. The curriculum takes several years to finish, and Ty was accepted in 2019. His start was delayed due to the pandemic. We are proud of his accomplishment and know that he will help our department better serve our citizens with the knowledge he has gained!

National Fire Pup Day

Meet Timber, a new therapy dog joining Oliver. October 1st is National Fire Pup Day, set aside to honor canine members of America's fire departments. Timber enjoys serving as a therapy dog for FRFR, providing love, comfort, and support to all personnel.

Congratulations Engineer VanTine

Richie Van Tine was sworn in last night as our newest engineer. Richie joined FRFR in 2018. FRFR tests promotional candidates in a rigorous assessment center process involving various real-world factors related to the position. Congratulations, Engineer Van Tine!

Congratulations to our new Lateral Firefighters

Welcome to our four new lateral firefighters; Jay Birnie, Patrick Foxx, Michael Mavaddat and Tyler Netik! We're so happy to have them as part of our family and know they will provide excellent service to our community.

Congratulations Firefighter Glotfelty

This month, Firefighter Lyndsey Glotfelty completed her probationary period at FRFR. Glotfelty completed the Fire Academy in December of 2021. Since then, she has completed a comprehensive task book and obtained additional certifications.
