Welcome to our Newest Recruit, Lyndsey Glotfelty
Welcome to our newest recruit, Lyndsey Glotfelty! Lyndsey grew up in a family of loggers learning to drive on a log truck in Maryland. While attending West Virginia University, she began her military career and moved to Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She attended Aims Fire School in 2019 and fell in love with the fire service. Lyndsey lives in Loveland with her five-year-old Frenchie Luna, they adventure throughout Colorado, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
Fill The Boot!
Every day, children are born with muscular dystrophy, and adults are diagnosed with ALS and other life-threatening diseases that take away their most basic freedoms - like walking, talking, eating, hugging, and ultimately life itself.
For more than sixty years, fire fighters have been Filling the Boot on street corners - raising money to help MDA fight back. With COVID guidelines we are conducting the drive online.
Now I'm asking you to help us Fill the Boot.
Update from the Fire Chief
Good Day!
I hope your summer is going well and you are healthy and safe. We have been extremely busy at #FrontRangeFireRescue (FRFR), and I wanted to take a little time to update you on what we’ve been doing.
Pension and Regular Board Meeting
We are still managing the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the August Pension and Regular Board meetings will be held both virtually and in-person tomorrow, August 11th at 6:00 pm; instructions to join the conference can be received by emailing info@frfr.co.
RED Shirt Friday
Today you might notice something new at FRFR. Our crews are wearing red t-shirts instead of our standard blue ones. Why red? Red is worn by many public service agencies to “Remember Everyone Deployed.” We are wearing these in honor of those military service members keeping us safe in the US and abroad. We are also honoring those firefighters among our ranks who are veterans. This is especially timely this week, as one of our firefighters, Ryan Boor, just returned to the firehouse this week from a year-long military deployment.
Look for our crews wearing RED every Friday!
Preliminary Votes have been Counted
The preliminary votes have been counted. Preliminary (unofficial) results for board members are:
- Rutt: 73
- Young: 65
- Freehling: 53
- Burns: 36
The final count will be held after any UOCAVA voted ballots are returned, on or around May 13, 2020. A special thank you to all of the candidates and to those who took time to cast ballots.
Notice of Office Closure to In-Person Visitors
The recent Covid-19 outbreak has impacted every community in Colorado. Based on the advice of local and state health officials, we have decided to close FRFR’s administrative offices to in-person visitors, effective March 16 through March 31 to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our community members and staff. Our dedication to providing timely and professional emergency services to our community remains our highest priority.
