Fire Won't Wait. Plan Your Escape!

Mayors Lebsack (Johnstown) and Austin (Milliken) joined FRFR Chiefs West, Drage, and Kronholm to kick off the event and to remind everyone that "Fire Won't Wait. Plan Your Escape!" Whichever community you live in, we all encourage you to "Plan your Escape" before an emergency.

Fill the Boot for MDA

For more than 60 years, firefighters throughout the US have been Filling the Boot to fight Muscular Dystrophy. Each year we’ve given millions of dollars to MDA to fund life-changing research and family services. Front Range Fire Rescue is hitting the streets to do it again this coming weekend. Please consider supporting us in our fight by throwing whatever you can spare into our boots. Every dollar helps!

Wait, you're not going to be in Johnstown or Milliken this weekend? How about helping us virtually by making a donation here?

FRFR Board Pays Off 2024 Bond Early

Recently Front Range Fire Rescue paid off our 2024 bond. This early payoff was accomplished thanks to the FRFR Board of Directors' conservative financial oversight and our district's growth.

Meet Oliver

Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR) has a new recruit that works for bones. Oliver won’t be riding on engines, but he’ll provide critical help for first responders returning from emergencies.

Injured colleagues, suicides, and other mayhem take their toll on firefighters’ mental health; therapy dogs provide comfort moments after a difficult call.

Oliver is FRFR’s first-ever therapy dog and enjoys his role of love, comfort, and support for all personnel.

FRFR Crews Meet the Baby they Delivered

Recently, FRFR Crews were dispatched to a woman in labor. Quickly arriving on the scene, it wasn’t long before FRFR and our partners at UCHealth delivered a bouncing baby boy. Last week we were visited by the family, and the crews presented them with a few gifts.

Front Range Fire Rescue Promotions

On June 14, 2022, four of our members were promoted to new ranks at Front Range Fire Rescue. FRFR uses an extensive assessment center process to select individuals for promotion. Additionally, our members must obtain higher-level certifications and college degrees commensurate with their new positions. These individuals have a huge responsibility, not only because of their increased rank but, more importantly, to lead our fire district into an exciting future filled with growth and challenges. Congratulations to each of them!

Life Saving Award

On June 14, 2022, Front Range Fire Rescue recognized several individuals for saving the life of one of our citizens. Jerry Moser suffered a medical emergency and ultimately went into cardiac arrest earlier this year. Although the response from FRFR and UCH only took 3 minutes, a bystander initiated CPR before we arrived and gave Mr. Moser an even better chance of survival. Jerry was with us last night and got to shake the hands of everyone who made a difference that day. It was a very happy and emotion-filled moment for everyone.

National Volunteer Week 2022

National Volunteer Week honors the individuals who dedicate themselves to taking action and solving problems in their communities. We are proud to honor Alicia Rogers, our newest member of the Citizen Advisory Group.

Alicia is a State Farm Agent with an office located in Johnstown. Born and raised on a ranch in Nebraska, she and her husband, Mitch, moved to Johnstown in 2015. They have three grown children... So now it’s just Mitch, Alicia, and their cat Maui…and of course, Jake, from State Farm.

October 4-10 is Fire Prevention Week!

This year’s campaign, "Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!" works to educate everyone about the different sounds the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms make. Knowing what to do when an alarm sounds to keep you and your family safe.
